Heather Buxton MD

Dr Buxton is confident in treating a wide array of psychiatric illness with additional specialty training in women’s mental health, perinatal psychiatry, and the caregiver/infant dyad. She uses principles of positive psychiatry to take a strengths-based approach to treatment and preventative care and is passionate about creating holistic patient-led care plans. Dr. Buxton is a well-established adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist. She earned her medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, completed her adult psychiatry residency at Oregon Health and Sciences University and sought out additional fellowship training in child/adolescent and reproductive psychiatry.
